Building New Relationships and Leaving Toxic Relationships Behind

Do you believe in the power that someone else has over you more than you believe in your own inner power? For many years, I loved people who did not love me back…I have learned not to blame those people for any pain that I felt because of their inability to return love to me the way that I needed to receive it. A person cannot give what they do not have the power to give. My mother was the most loving woman that I have ever known. She taught me to love God first, respect others, and to have empathy for those who were less fortunate than myself. It was not until many years later that I began to understand the true lessons that she was teaching me about life. These conversations will share many of those lessons.

When someone has hurt you because they fail to love you the way that you need…do not blame that person but move on to finding a place of love inside of yourself that allows you to love others. Love is a lesson learned…everyone is not taught the lesson the same way and some are never taught the lesson of love at all. You cannot give what you simply do not have within your heart to give. Forgive them, pray for them, move on and know that we love the best we can. I share this lesson from a place of love because I never saw the sun set on my mother’s love for me.
